such a shame the site has died. Since its inception there were really useful and informative posts on all aspects of angling. But unfortunately most members who took the time to join here only want the information/fishing spots and have no wish to contribute, or at least try to engage and add something interesting. Hence the site is DEAD. Many thanks to Nick for all his inciteful and interesting posts, also the woman named after a strange fish............RIP Beach and Boat - UAE I am sure the real fishermen/woman will continue to share their victories and dissapointments via some other social medium.

Like all sites Dom it takes effort to keep things going and that means posting catch reports and the readers showing appreciation and joining in the debates The big trouble with Dubai is that guys come and go so often (me included). I will continue to post my reports, but as you know the fishing is very slow in the UK as December closes and Jan & Feb are worse But once March arrives the fishing (for me) will pick up and I should be back to contributing. Meanwhile I will be replying on you guys to keep me interested ...if not on here then I guess you will be posting on facebook (?)...... so long as I get to see some fish-porn Happy christmas guys

As Sunny has said, hard to keep things going here, with the almost complete dominance of sports angling by expats and the high turnover of people. There have been several fishing forums in the UAE over the years, the only ones still going are the FB ones that have recently sprung up, most of them look more like a fishmongers than a sports fishing forum TBH.
With a very busy family life and work schedule I have hardly fished since the summer hence no posts from me.
Anyway, good work on the forum Sunny, if you are still going to post from the UK I'll try and post some pics if I can ever get out!
All the best BTF
