Hi guys, I'm a newby tothe forum and tokamak fishing.
I was always keen in south Africa, but I was a student back then and just affording beer was my priority.
Well today I had another day of doing a sneaky drive onto the palm, doing a little fishing under a bridge, and running away before being caught by the police; I decided that this is not going to work for me.
So I want to get into kayak fishing...but know nothing about what kayak to look out for etc. I have seen in the videos that the peddle type look cool because they free up your hands, but I saw they cost a fortune at adventure hq.
Do you know anyone that might be selling their second hand kayak?
Any advice for a newby would be great. Also I assume that the summer months affect the fishing, or is it just the ability to handle the heat?
Thanks guys and hopefully be posting some pictures of monsters soon

Thanks will
Seen a few good deals on dubizzle, just waiting for my next pay cheque now haha
Has anyone done fishing around the world islands? In my mind I would imagine that would probably be the best location because it is out of reach of all the shore fishermen who don't mind if a fish is smaller than a hand.
Also have you guys ever been hassled by the police to check your fishing license? Now that they ant issuing new fishing licenses I am not sure what I'll do...

I think as long as the world islands are a ghost town we should be fine to fish there, but when it/if it get completed and there are more people there then the police will probably hound me away like the palm.
HAs anyone here done a fishing session on the west coast of the UAE. Like along E11 heading towards Qatar? It looks pretty secluded and lots of islands and mangroves. so hopefully lots of hungry fish?

I've been looking at the places to the south of Abu Dhabi for some time now...to go searching for the mullet. But it is a long drive and is further than going over to the Indian Ocean side !!! I have heard stories of encounters with the coastguard because of getting too close to palaces on some of the islands, so it might pay to ask for advice on which areas to stay clear of. Seems there are no signs up ! According to a Dubai cop you just keep saying that you are British (even if not) and "terribly sorry, didn't realise"...in a Hugh Grant fashion.... But the fishing is good at certain times of the year - apparently

A lot of the guys use hobies, the pedal type. I use a stealth evo 465, there are a few stealths on dubizzle. New stealths are also going to be arriving in Dubai In about a month.

Not yet, he called me yesterday, the stuff should be available next month, lots of different accessories such as live bait torpedo tubes, rash vests and rod leashes.
