Be careful fellow anglers, sharp hooks and flapping fish can spell disaster and a visit to the Doctor!. I had a greedy Queenfish that consumed my sebile coolie minnow, meant for a King. The back treble was firmly in the gill plate and the front lightly in the mouth. I reached to free the 2nd and ouch, the fish flapped and I was spiked...... The first time it had happened in 40 years of angling, I was tired after a great session with both the kings and queens and did not stick to my methodical slow careful approach. Ironically I had closed the barbs, but unfortunately not well enough, it was stuck. A visit to the hospital for extraction and a tetanus jab, another lesson learnt.

Ouch! Been there a few times, not fun, especially when you're offshore on the 'yak. Hope the finger is back to normal. However, on the positive side, was this hook up - at @ 90kg - a personal best? :-)

Bloomin heck Dom that is one serious injury.... between us we had some day; but yours was the most painful.
The fishing sounded spectacular though....to look on the positive side
