Hey All, I've just moved to Dubai from Perth, Australia ... itching to get my head around fishing here. I'm what they call "fishing maniac" back in Oz. Looks like a good start point for me, to join that forum. I'm mainly a Game fisho (IGFA), and that's my thing .... but also jig, and cast on anything that moves in the water. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm planning to get my own boat here, once I settle and get my head around regulations and rules (shouldn't take that long . Got my own gear with me from Perth (air freighted ofcoarse), for jogging, popping and stickbaiting ... which I've been told is very popular here. Thanks and looking forward to get on local fish sometime. Cheers Hesh P.S. some photos of fish caught lately ... back in Oz [img src="[/img] i1326.photobucket.com/albums/u656/Heshable/Facebook/Knot%20Big%20Enuff_March%202013/921636_106805559519798_1957212078_o.jpg"]

Big welcome to the forum Hesh....great to have you aboard Fishing is slow inshore now until the temperatures drop, but with an offshore boat I belive things are still good. Lot of the fellas have invested in kayaks as that gives reasonable access and easy launching. Me I shipped my 12 foot dinghy over here from the UK. I could leave the offshore boat behind, but not the dinghy, she goes everywhere with me I have a mate who left the UK to go be a fisheries officer near Perth. He sends me the odd picture of things he has caught...bloomin awesome fishing grounds in that part of the world. I'm sure we will all be looking forward to your catch reports. Hope you have a great season Nick
